Exercise for Wellbeing

Helping you build confidence through safe, supported exercise

You may already know that regular exercise is one of the most effective ways to improve your physical and mental wellbeing. Perhaps your GP, psychologist or another healthcare professional has encouraged you to become more active. Or maybe you’ve decided it’s time to prioritise your
health—but you’re simply not sure where to begin.

If you’ve ever thought:

  • I know exercise would help me, but I don’t know what to do.
  • I’m worried I’ll hurt myself.
  • I don’t feel comfortable walking into a gym.
  • I’ve never really exercised before.

You’re not alone.

A different approach
Exercise for Wellbeing is a physiotherapist-led service designed for people who want to become more active in a safe, supportive and welcoming environment. Whether you’ve never exercised before, are returning after a long break, recovering from injury, living with ongoing pain or simply looking for professional guidance, we’ll meet you where you’re at.

Why exercise matters
Research has shown that regular physical activity can reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, improve mood, reduce stress, improve sleep, increase energy, build confidence and improve quality of life. It complements, but does not replace, psychological care when needed.

Your journey

  1. Getting to know you – discussion of your goals, concerns, history and assessment.
  2. Supported exercise – one-on-one supervised exercise tailored to you.
  3. Ongoing support – continue individually or transition to a small supervised group if preferred.

Working together
With your consent, we are happy to collaborate with your GP, psychologist or other healthcare professionals to provide a coordinated approach to your care.

Prefer to start at home?
Our mobile physiotherapy service can help you begin in your own home before transitioning to the clinic if appropriate.

Our goal
Exercise shouldn’t feel intimidating. It should feel achievable. Our goal is to help you build the confidence, knowledge and habits to make exercise a positive and sustainable part of your life.
