- Do I need a referral?
If you are claiming through DVA, an EPC Medicare Program, WorkCover or CTP you will need a Doctors referral. If you are not claiming through any of these you do not require a Doctors referral prior to commencing physiotherapy.
-
- What do I need to organise prior to my appointment?
All we need is for you to have thought of a small area for the treatment table to be set up. Please have any scans (x-rays, CT, MRI or bone scans) ready, along with your referral if you have one.
-
- What do I wear?
For a thorough assessment and treatment it is ideal for your physiotherapist to observe the area of concern. Therefore it is advised that for lower back and lower limb injuries that shorts are to be worn. For neck and upper limb injuries a singlet top is recommended. If you have any concerns with this please do not hesitate to discuss any issues with your physiotherapist.
-
- What do I expect to happen during our consultation?
Your physiotherapist will sit down with you and discuss what you have been experiencing in order to better understand your problem, along with discussing your goals and expected outcomes from physiotherapy. They will then assess you and discuss what they have found. From here the necessary treatment will be provided. Appropriate exercises will be prescribed and your physiotherapist can inform you on how many treatments you may require and how long it should take for you to reach your goals.
-
- How long are your treatment times?
Your initial consultation will be 45-60 minutes. Ongoing consultations will be 30-40 minute appointments.
-
- What’s your pricing like compared to visiting a physiotherapy practice?
For this complete, one-on-one service with all necessary equipment brought to your house, you will pay on average $5-10 more than if you were to attend your local practice. We feel this is a fair price considering we come to you, along with the fact our treatment times are longer than average.
-
- How do I pay for the service?
You can pay by either cash or Eftpos; credit or debit using our portable Eftpos machine. No cheques or bank transfers are allowed.
-
- How do I claim through my health fund?
Provided we can plug our portable HICAPS machine into your phone line (you will not be charged a phone call) we can simply claim for you on the spot, allowing you to only pay any gap remaining.
